1.1 Teaching Methods of the teacher

            I’ve joined my CT class. Before they start the lesson, they always pray with one of the student as the prayer leader. After that, my CT told them to arranged the chairs. When Mrs. Davide enter the class especially the boys class, she played a dance video. Yes, she did an ice breaking for them. All the boys are really excited and happy. They did dance together while laughing. I found it was so fun and they didn’t feel sleepy and bored anymore. This is one of my CT methods to make the class effective and efficient for the teaching process. Mom Davide also make a small Quiz during her lesson. She had questions on power point then asked the students to answer. The students are so active, they answered them really well. Yeayy, Smart Students!!



1.2 Learning Materials and innovation

            My CT, Mrs. Davide   explained about paragraph and fable. After that Mrs. Davide gave them some questions that they had to answer in power point. It’s about arranged the paragraph into good orders. Mrs.Davide gave them time bout 2 minutes. Then, she asked them to answered the questions. You know my readers? They’re so smart. They could answer them correctly. Then Mrs. Davide made Quiz for them that’s still related with the lesson. Well, even it’s just mini Quiz, that’s so important right for the teaching and also teacher. Because what? Mini Quiz is so important for knowing how far do the students understand about the lesson. It’s one of the value in teaching process. Not only Quiz, Mrs. Davide has projects. The project is called “Performance Task” . This projects are divided into two parts. Performance output ( Written ) and Performance Oral. The students have to write a fable, proverbs, folksong, legend or myth. Then, they must perform their story by doing Storytelling. I found this was funny at that time because the students were so nervous. Some of them brought pictures and wore costume to made the best performance haha they’re so cute readers . They did the storytelling in front of their friends.
       
                              





1.3 Sources of learning and technology

Most of teacher in USJ-R, especially my CT, Mrs. Davide often used laptop, microphone and of course Power point in their learning process. The source of learning is usually from their English book, “IE For EC integrated English for Effective Communication Philippines Literature 7”.  The teachers always speak in English. Mrs. Davide also will not hear the students when they didn’t speak in English . It’s good for the students because they can practice their English right? Speaking English is so Fun hahaha.

1.4 Authentic assessment used by teacher

Mrs. Davide always make Quiz for the students before end up the class. Quiz is kind of something important in learning process. Yes, Quiz is one of Authentic Assessment in USJ-R. Sometimes, they did their Quiz in the Aralink E-Learning class or in the Speechlab. They used Tablets to did it.

I’ve been through First week for orientation, Second week for Observation, the third week of teaching assistant and this is my last week. It’s the time for doing my teaching Demonstration or teaching practice. I was afraid and nervous at the same time. This was the first time that I taught students. You know readers, I attended for two sections ( two classes). Well, maybe we think that only two classes, but these two classes are well known as the smartest classes among all. Yes, St. Augustine for the girls class and St. Joseph for the boys class. My heart beats faster, I always said to myself that yes I can do it! No matter what, I belive I can through it well. I’m sad that my journey in USJ-R is done huhu I’ve done one month in University Of San Jose – Recoletos for my practicum. This is my best experience in my life. Yess this time as I already promise you that I want to share about Opening Ceremony for us, delegations of SEA-Teacher in University Of San Jose – Recoletos Basak Campus, Cebu, Philippines.
